Debbie is a contemporary maker exploring surface and form through both precious metals and other media, such as resin or textiles. Her jewellery is very much based on a fascination with surface and creating textures which align with nature. Further inspiration comes from the wider environment, with particular reference to local industrial heritage. Texture, form and colour palettes relate to this environment.

Debbie has a Bachelor of Arts (hons) Degree in Design and Applied Arts from Edinburgh College of Art. She has been an educator for 25 years and has a Masters Degree in Professional Practice.
